DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Heritage Community Association, the Festival will unite and celebrate the diverse cultural mosaic of the inner-city Heritage Community through music, dance, food and everything that makes any festival fun for all! Variety of activities, including German, Ukrainian and First Nations dancers. Spotlight performance by Lee Maracle, a First Nations storyteller who through her novels, poetry, drama, and performance art explores the experience of First Nations people in Canada. Canning workshop and walking tour of the community during the event. The Festival will coincide with Culture Days in Saskatchewan and be part of the pan-Canadian Culture Days Event.\n\nTo be held in the Art Park, Regina located on the corner of 11th and Halifax Street, and along 11th Ave between Halifax street and St. John street which will be blocked off for the Festival. The Festival will run from 9:00am, with the official opening ceremonies that includes the “Breaking of the Bread” at 11:00am, to Terrence Littletent performing his hoop dance under the Harvest Moon at 9:00 pm. All events from sunrise to sunset are free!
